Date Slicer Format Stuck in US Format unless user changes Browser Language

Hi all,

In my report, I have a Date Slicer which appears as UK format (my home country) when using Power BI Desktop, however when I upload this report to Power BI Service, the date turns to US format.

I am aware of the solution which is shown in the following link here:
https://www.mssqltips.com/sqlservertip/6834/power-bi-service-date-formats/

Where the solution is to change the language in the Power BI Service Workspace to Default to Browser Language and then change the Browser language itself, however I need users to be able to view the date in UK format irrespective of the Browser Language, as this isn't something that I'd expect  report users to have to do.

In the Workspace language options, there is also only an option for 'English' , rather than 'English US' and 'English UK', so when selecting 'English' the date will format to the US date type.

Grateful for any help on this anyone can offer!

Kind regards,

James

Hi, @jamdal1997

As far as I know, there is no other effective solution.

As mentioned in Display formatting with the date range slicer ,the date format is up to user's browser or operating system locale. As such, it will be the display format no matter what the data type settings are for the underlying data or model.
