Date Drill Down

Does Power BI will have automatic drill down or drill up for date columns ? Like Year -> Qrtr -> Months -> Weeks -> Days -> Time

I saw this is a powerful feature  in other BI Tool without doing any special treatment/maintenance of your date field.

@parry2k Though Power BI soedn't have this feature but DAX functions available in designer/excel can always be used to create calculated columns & measures and apply filter for achieving the same. Anyways having pre-calculated functions for date in Power BI can be great!

Whe are here in the service forum and there's no option to do this like in the desktop version. So it is not implemented yet.

Hi - we've recently added some basic capability for this. If you use a date field on a chart axis it'll give you the option of different levels Year, Quarter, Month, Day. We're planning to expand this in future releases so please stay tuned for more!

This is a nice one 🙂 Although it took a bit more to find this than it should
