Hi all,
I've recently been moving reports I've previously made in the desktop version to the Power BI Service. A couple of them look at the same SQL server for their data, but when imported to the service each has its own named Dataset.
So I have a few questions:
1) Can you merge two identical datasets?
2) If not, is there a way to change what dataset a report is looking at, so that only one dataset has to be refreshed for new data to show up in multiple reports?
3) Or is that a limitation of the report import functionality, that it will always create a new dataset and be stuck with it?
Thanks.

Hi @Scaleta ,
For each workspace, the dataset requires using unique name, if you want to publish the dataset of same name, the later dataset will replace the previous one.
You can try to publish this report to another workspace.
Best Regards,
Teige
