Dataset stops working on publish with gateway error

It seems like this only happens to some people but I'm not sure what the pattern is.  When they publish a new version of a report from Power BI Desktop the report stops working.  A pink error message shows at the top saying "There is no gateway to access the data source XYZ."  XYZ in this case is an SSAS cube accessible via on-premise gateway.  I can't change the settings without taking over the dataset.  As soon as I take over the dataset the report starts working.  Is the issue related to the permissions of the person publishing the report?

Hi there

Have you enabled the User mapping under the Data Source settings in the Gateway?

Hi @albran ,

Currently, only the owner of the report can Schedule a refresh or run a manual refresh using the Refresh Now from the Dataset menu.

If other users need to run a refresh, they will need to take ownership of the Dataset using the Take Over button on the Scheduled Refresh screen.
