Dataset refresh failures

Hi all!

I'm new here.  I am having an issue in PowerBI where some of my datasets refuse to update (in fact, most of them).  This is the error I keep getting after a scheduled or on-demand refresh of the dataset:

Last refresh failed: Mon May 29 2017 12:43:43 GMT-0500 (Central Daylight Time)

Cluster URI:WABI-US-NORTH-CENTRAL-redirect.analysis.windows.net
Activity ID:c41a4b0e-bbe7-6483-1ac8-5c8babc94e3c
Request ID:6cdd1e40-02b5-0914-1b8c-b42d475eba9b
Time:2017-05-29 17:43:43Z

Does anyone have advice on how to proceed with this?  It doesn't seem to give particularly good error information.  The data gateway (enterprise data gateway, not personal) is listed as online.  Here is a snapshot of the history:

I appreciate any insight that can be given regarding this issue.  It is turning out to be relatively high priority and I was not sure how to communicate directly with Microsoft regarding this priority issue for my organization.

Thanks!

Regards,

Derek

Encountered this before. Check if there were any changes that got published. For whoever published the report, check if there are any query errors in the query editor. If there are errors to any of the queries, even if the data is not being used in the report, the entire report will fail on refresh.

Thanks for the feedback, fmx.  My reports and the queries behind them are not generating any errors.  It looks like it was the cluster having the issue.

ALL OTHERS:  Is anyone else experiencing slow data refreshes now that it seems the cluster issue has been resolved?  I have some datasets that used to take substantially less time to refresh than they do now.  They are taking more than 30-45 minutes longer to refresh than previously and we have not had a substantial increase in data in the tables being refreshed.

Thanks!

Hi,

I am also new here and I am having the same issue. This has been going on since around 8:00AM central. Our enterprise gateway is online and functioning but the scheduled refreshes are failing. I can manually go in and refresh the data set using the enterprise gateway however at the next scheduled refresh it failes for all of my datasets.

Let me know if there is something I am missing or where to go from here.

Thanks,

Aaron
