Dataset refresh disabled - Data source error: The M evaluation exceeded the memory limit.

Hello Community,

We are experiencing this issue

Dataset refresh disabled - failed refresh:

Data source error: The M evaluation exceeded the memory limit. To address the issue consider optimizing the M expressions, reducing the concurrency of operations that are memory intensive or upgrading to increase the available memory. Container exited unexpectedly with cod

The attempts to refresh has been disabled.

I've looked through and listed as most similar to our situation:

It started failing yesterday intermittently, however now the refresh has disabled and don't know how to refresh it directly on the online service again to see if the issue persists.  The dataset was refreshing every 30 minutes.  I would like to avoid going into the dataset for finetuning as I am not the primary owner of it. Also I cannot find/determine if I have access to Power Query.  The dataset refreshes have been stable and dataset exists for a while and is heavily used.

Many thanks for any support that can be provided other than modifying the dataset.

Hi, @Sita_NG

Only the dataset owner can schedule a refresh.

After you take over the dataset , the dataset is under your ownership . You can reconfigure and initiate a scheduled refresh.

It is recommended to avoid refreshing multiple reports in the same time period.

Hello Greg,

At the dataset Settings, I do see that I can Take over.  Should this allow me to re-enable the schedule?

@Sita_NG The owner will need to re-enable the refresh.
