I am facing two issues:
If we add a new column to schema in Database (ex. SqlServer), would this be visible in power BI pro when the dataset is refreshed using ‘ Refresh Now ’ option. Or Is it just the data that gets refreshed and schema remains the same as it was set for the first time? ( We are importing the data in PBIX by ' import' option and writing query before publishing it and refreshing using gateway)
Can we add a new column in Power BI pro online version as we can in desktop version?

Hi @p_shashwat,
1. Power BI service supports data refresh rather than schema refresh. As you add a new column into the table on SQL database side, though you use select *from table to query data, after dataset is refreshed in Power BI service, the new column will not updated. We need to refresh in Power BI desktop then republish the report.
2. It's not able to add a new calculated column in Power BI service.
