Hi,
I created a report with PBI Desktop using data from excel in OneDrive. Then I published to PBI Service and set a Schedule Refresh of the dataset. The automatic refresh works fine, but I found that the visualizations in the report in PBI Service must be refreshed manually, is this ok? If yes, is there any way to automate both, data and viz refresh? Thanks!

Hi @arielcedola ,
In fact, onedrive datasource not dynamic enough as steaming dataset.
You can refer to following link to use web connector with onedrive file link to create report and publish to service side to enable onedrive refresh.(updated per hour)
Use OneDrive for Business links in Power BI Desktop

HI @arielcedola ,
Can you please explain more about these steps? AFAIK, if you setting up scheduled refresh on dataset, it will also update correspond reports.

Hi Xiaoxin,
thank you for your reply. I expected to see a behavior similar to the case when we push data into PowerBI instead of importing it (for instance from Stream Analytics to visualize real-time data), in the sense that both dataset and charts in the report are refreshed simultaneously as data is ingested. But getting data from excel in OneDrive I see that, in order to get charts refreshed after the (sheduled or manual) data refresh, I have to click on the Refresh button of the report page in PowerBi Service or otherwise refresh the web page. My question is if there is a way to avoid taking this (little) action to see the upgraded results in the visuals.
I already checked all the official docs .)
Thanks!
