When publishing a new version of a dataset with new fields in a specific table, these fields do not show up in the web interface in the report. When we download the report or dataset as pbix the fields do show up.
Is this a known issue? Is that being fixed?

hi, @PeterKarsten
This is a normal phenomenon.
When you refresh in power bi service, It is based on the initial query code to update the dataset. But there is no query for the new fields. So it won't appear in power bi service dataset.
When you download it and open in power bi desktop tool, the query will be adjusted in Edit Queries, so it will appear.
Usually, if you want to add new fields into dataset, you need to add it in power bi desktop and the republish it.

Hi@v-lili6-msft ,
We have downloaded the dataset, and earlier you did have to refresh to get the new columns. But it appears that opening the file now automatically refreshes the columns. We will have to look further. Thank you for your help.
