Hi
I have published a report to the service and it has been successfully refreshing for long time.
It reads from multiple source (Sharepoint, Oracle, APIs, dataflows) and uses an on-premise gateway.
I have finished developing a newer version of the same report with more features.
Refreshing the new version on the Desktop (Feb 2021 release) is successful, but once I publish the new version to the service, refreshes are always failing, and the problem is that the error message is completely empty.
Can you please advise on what could be the reason and how to troubleshoot?
Best Regards,
Karim

@aj1973 , I didn't get to upgrade the gateway since I have less control over it.
But I eventually thought about another possible reason and I was right.
I had the privacy settings set to "ignore privacy levels". As we know, this helps on the Desktop and causes issues in the service.
Checking the gateway logs confirmed this direction.
I disabled this ignore setting and did some changes to the queries to resolve the Formula.Firewall errors.
Now the dataset is refreshing correctly.
Thank you for your support and care 👍
P.S. I still don't like the fact that the service doesn't give any indication on the error.
Hi @karimm
It seems like the gateway went off!
Verify it

Hi @aj1973
The gateway is on because other reports using it are able to refresh successfully.
I'm suspecting now that the gateway should be upgraded to latest version.
Have you upgraded it?
