Dataflows started failing

My dataflows worked, but then started failing. Every dataflow has a valid gateway. Gateway is online, and all queries load into the editor. Each dataflow has one source and I'm not combining dataflows. Some dataflows connect to Azure SQL, others to anonymous web content.

RESOLVED: "The user creating the dataflow also must be the Enterprise Gateway's administrator in order to use that gateway for a dataflow." I changed the admin.

Hi @freder1ck , I've been having a similar issue myself. Can you provide me with a bit more detail about what you mean by Enterprise Gateway administrator? Are you referring to the gateway within the PBI Service or is this a setting in Office 365?

Configuring an Enterprise Gateway for use with dataflows
To use an on-premises data source in a dataflow, any user creating the dataflow must have an Enterprise Gateway installed and configured. The user creating the dataflow also must be the Enterprise Gateway's administrator in order to use that gateway for a dataflow.

@freder1ckthanks for the extra bit of clarity, I am the administrator for the gateways that were failing.

 

In the end my solution turned out to be turning Multi Factor Authentication off for a day and then putting it back on again (the classic off/on approach) as outlined here: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/Why-is-my-Power-BI-dataflow-refresh-failing/ba-p/623...
