Dataflows - disabling load upstream --> effect to merged tables refreshes?

Hi, a quick question for understanding the dataflows and the refresh better and for embarrassing myself publicly for not understanding what is most likely elementary dataflow stuff:

I have a situation where I have [table A] which I use in a merge with [table B]. But since it seems I cannot have the both tables loaded (the refresh results in the "On-Prem execution not supported for entity..."error), I needed to create a referenced copy of [table A], that is now the [table C] and have that load enabled.

So, if I want the refreshes to work and have the stuff I need for the data model, it seems I need to have the load disabled for [table A] and have the load enabled for [table B] and [table C].

But now I can't seem to figure out / find information to the question: after refreshing the dataflow, do I actually get the latest data to the [table B] and [table C] even though the [table A] has the load disabled?

Once more to clarify: [table B] uses the [table A] in a merge, and the [table C] is a referenced copy of [table A].

Many thanks for any clarification on this 🙂

Hi @V_Low ,

According to my research on the problem you have encountered, the solution is to untick the Enable load option on the linked entity. Then the linked entity will not load, but only the merged entity.

You can refer to these cases which have the same issue as yours:

Wish it is helpful for you!
