Dataflow not supported dynamic sources

Hello,

I am trying to combine the list of Excel sheets stored in the drive using functions. It is working fine with the desktop. However, Dataflow/Datamart does not support the same.

I know that we can use the relative path option if our data source is API/Web. But, how can we fix files in the Folder?

Many thanks in advance!

Hey @msksenthil ,

instead of using the Excel.Workbook command use the Folder.Files() connection. If your files are located on an on-premises network drive you have to be aware that you need an on-premises gateway.

I recommend to move the files into a SharePoint folder (assuming that that SharePoint online is used in your organization)

Hopefully, this helps to tackle your challenge.

Regards,

Tom

Thanks, @TomMartens

However, when we use that approach, it will combine the tables and return only the sample file columns and missing the other columns.
