On our Data Management Gateway (Version:3000.6.204), we have defined Analysis Services datasources connecting to on-prem cubes. We can create and refresh datasets based on these connections with no pb.
I am trying to create dataflows to import cube data, reusing the PowerQuery code from the datasets.
However, I cannot manage to establish the connection through the DMG. When I click the "Edit credentials" button in PowerQuery, all authentication methods fail, even though the DMG is correctly selected.
Is importing data from AS through the DMG supported by dataflows ? Is there a workaround ?
Hi @bdarbonneau ,
Nope, current you can only use on premise gateway to handle dataflow refresh. Personal mode still not available on dataflow.

I'd like to suggest you use on premise gateway to create a new entity from azure AS.

We are using the Enterprise on-premise gateway to connect to on-prem (not Azure) AS cubes.
The question is: Is it possible/supported to create a dataflow connecting to these on-prem AS cubes ?
HI @bdarbonneau ,
Power bi enterprise gateway also support on-premise AS datasource. Data mange gateway is different from on premise gateway, I'm not so sure if it works on power bi dataflow entities.(current dataflow entities are based on power bi onpremise gateway)
