Dataflow fails to refresh

We are able to query the data via the dataflow using SQL server & Oracle RDBMS. Refreshes fail with the same message:

Error: AzureBlobs failed to get the response: 'The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send.'. Request ID: a3c01f8f-b62a-121b-4666-15daae80c615 Activity ID: 88e873ab-1fb5-4f1a-8ac5-e08c3de34fa9.

Anyone have a fix for this? Searching on Google for Error: AzureBlobs failed to get the response: 'The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send returns results for a certificate issue or a network issue

Hi, thanks for asking.

We are using SQL Server and Oracle as our sources. Both refresh without issue via the On-Premise data gateways. The issue arrises when we attempt to refresh the dataflows built upon the datasources. I am thinking the issue may be that we do not have an account with the Azure Data Lake for the Common Data Model.

Hi @Jack2of3,

What type of connection are you worked? On-premise or online? (e.g. on-premise: SQL server installed in local device or VM, online: Azure SQL)

If you are working with a report that contains multiple connection modes with advanced operations, it may cause the issue to verify the credentials.

Hi @Jack2of3,

What type of data source are you test? did this issue appear on all of your data sources? Have you tested with other authorizations credentials or other devices?

Please provide more detailed information about your operation steps and error message to help us clarify your scenario:

@Jack2of3 , this can be because of few reasons. Port or IP access issue. Connection timed out.

Refer if this can help : https://www.fourmoo.com/2019/02/13/why-is-my-powerbi-dataflow-refresh-failing/

Or this for sql server : https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/relational-databases/errors-events/mssqlserver-824-database-eng...
