DataSource.Error: SharePoint: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error

Hello,

I'm trying to create a data flow to connect to a Sharepoint list.

I have another data flow in this same account and Sharepoint site that works perfectly. Only the list is different.

I can't create this data flow, I get the error:

DataSource.Error: SharePoint: Falha do pedido: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a receive.DetalhesDataSourceKind = SharePoint
DataSourcePath = https://xxx.sharepoint.com/sites/mysite

Hi @webportal,

there is a current issue with SharePoint Online and Power BI Premium, have a look at the support site.

If you have a Pro account you could try to open a (free) support ticket. Go to the support page to file a support ticket. That might help solve the issue faster.

Hi,

we have the same issue. When using the Power BI Dataflow with the datasource (.xlsx, .csv and .txt) files on SharePoint online we get this error every now and then. The files it usually happens with are around 25MB and the biggest is over 300MB. Maybe the file size is an issue.

But glad to finally now there seems to be a temporary issue with the service. Although the Awareness Info says it affects Power BI Premium customers, we are "only" Power BI Pro users, but seems to be the same issue.

Best answer I found so far to this topic. Thank you.
BR Daniel
