A coworker of mine attemptd to share a report with me our Corporate workspace. However, when I try to open the report, I get an error saying "The data source Extension is missing credentials and cannot be accessed".
When I click on "Show Details", it just takes me to the Power BI home page.
We are unsure if it is a permission issue or OAuth...
Has anybody seen this before/know how to assign credentials to the data source extension so theya re no longer missing?
This problem is also happening to me when trying to connect a PBI report to a lakehouse, using the DirectQuery option in MS Fabric.

Hi @Connor_Schimke ,
The error typically happens when the credentials of the dataset been changed.
Go to dataset setting in the crediential section re enter the credientials.

What dataset settings and where? I see no such thing in either desktop or the web app.
I know this is an old thread but i think you find the credentials under the File tab and Options and Settings
