Hi,
I created a one model using direct query mode. Now i try to connect the model in new power bi desktop.
not able to connect properly. getting error like this.

You can try the following:
1. Is there an RLS, remove the RLS from the report or add the user in the RLS and check again.
2. Whether your power bi desktop is an old version. If yes, you can download the latest version at the link below.

There is also a similar problem regarding which workspace the dataset exists in. You can get the solution below.

Hi,
Your error message highlights something about the gateway. Since you are using direct query, have you connected the dataset with gateway? did you check the dataset in service once?
Try create a report in service using fields and see whether you are able to create without an error.
