Hello - Some of my reports contain value at the top of the report page (Data updated) and some do not.
Any idea why and/or how to always get to show up?
Hi @Anonymous ,
Only import model will show up the updated date. It means the dataset on power bi service has been updated at that date.
Because when the dataset is Direct Query or Live connection model, the power bi does not refersh the report until user view the report or active with it.
If DirectQuery and LC show up the updated date, it will be every time user open the report, becasue power bi service query the data sourece, not in power bi service, to get the underlying date and calculate the data for visuals.
Please refer this article.

@Anonymous That would perhaps be something to put in Ideas forum.
@Anonymous Are the ones that are not showing up DirectQuery or Live connection models?
@Greg_Deckler Hmmm....yes. The report that is using the dataset which is a fully "import mode" dataset is the one that shows the data updated.
The other reports use datasets that contain the date table from that import mode dataset (chained datasets). So that is the issue I would guess. Any way to resolve (not that it's broke), but would be nice to have.
