Hello Kausdutt,

Hoping that there would be some credentials issue.

Please try to opne the PBIX file in Power Bi Desktop and evaluate it.

Path:- Power BI Desktop >> File >> Options & Settings >> Options >> Clear Cache.

Home >> Edit Queries >> Edit Queries >> Refresh Preview >> Refresh All.

Click on Close and Apply.

Refresh the visuals in Home tab and save or save as the file, Publish it.

Now check with Refresh Now/Scheduled refresh. If you get any error, please click on the data set settings >> Data Source Credentials (please refer the above pic) >> Click on "Edit" and evaluate with the right credentials and try with refersh now.

If you get the same error, please post the error details to investigate more.

Hello,

I am establishing a connection with Web & fetching data via API.

I have performed the mentioned steps by you. Refresh is working fine in Power BI Desktop , but post publishing to Power BI service refresh fails & gives the same error

(Scheduled refresh is disabled because at least one data source is missing credentials. To start the refresh again, go to this dataset's settings page and enter credentials for all data sources. Then reactivate scheduled refresh.)

Permissions set:

Type:Anonymous

Privacy Level: None

I believe in this scenerio we don't need to add it to gateway as it's a cloud Data source

Please suggest further steps to resolve the issue

Regards,

Ashish

Hi @kausdutt ,

If you are using gateway, then please make sure that you configure your dataset corresponding to your gateway to enable the scheduled refresh.
