[Data Gateway] Unable to connect to the data source

I just set up my Data Gateway on an Azure VM running Windows Server 2012 R2. To set it up, I used the recovery key.

I'm now encountering an error when trying to connect to my Postgres DBs. It previously connected without issue (when running on my PC) and now I'm getting the following error:

The Gateway itself is online. I confirmed that this is the instance running on my Azure VM (turned off PC and it was still connected; restarted the VM and it was no longer connected).

Finally, I have configured the outbound ports on my VM to allow 443, 5671, 5672, 9350-9354. I confirmed this is working properly by running the Network "check now" test.

How can I get the connection to work?

I needed to install the Postgres ODBC driver on my server (https://www.postgresql.org/ftp/odbc/versions/msi/).

That's why it worked on my local machine but not the server. That's also why PowerBI was able to connect to the Gateway on the server.

Hi there

That is indeed 100% correct, because the data will now go through the Gateway server.

Hi there

Can your new Azure VM Server connect directly to your PostGres database?

@GilbertQ How would you recommend I test this?
