Data Alerts not working need help!

Hi,

I read that the alerts can only be set up on tiles pinned from report visuals, & only on gauges, KPIs & cards.

But this option doesnt appear on the dashboard.

Regards,

Titiksha

Hi @TitikshaGanjoo,

By my tests, we could set alert for Guage chart tile on the dashboard.

From your image, it seems that you are in report view not dashboard.

In my side, I could manage alert on the dashboard.

Please have a check.

Have you follow this documentation?

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-set-data-alerts

Check the visualizations and make sure you are using the ones in power bi and not a custom visual.

Have you created the dashboard? or has it been shared to you?

Regards,

Hi there,

That looks like you have pinned a live report to a dashboard. If you have then that will not work as expected.

It has to be a pined tile from a report in order for it to work

Power BI Blog

Hi there

The way I explain it is that the item on the dashboard should be representing a Number value. Once you have that, you can then enable the data alerts.
