Data Alerts in shared dashboards with external

Hey guys, 

I have a question. I have set up some data alerts in a pinned visual (KPI) in my dashboard. This dashboard is connected directly to Microsoft Dynamics CRM ONLINE. This works perfectly! I get my alerts when a value meets a certain level.

However, I shared this dashboard (with the pinned visual) with my client. He has got a link in his e-mail to go to this dashboard. But he can't set up a data alert. He doesn't see the "Data Alerts" icon when he clicks on the visual. 

Anybody here who could provide me with the solution (or with a work-around)? Thanks in advance!

@Amrinder Is he clicking on the tile on the dashboard, or going to the report? Also, it has to be the Card visual, it won't show up on any other visual. (I just tested this on a shared dashboard with me and was able to set up an alert, so the functionality is there).
