Hi Team,
We have a dashboard which is prepared with sharepoint data excel files-->storing in ADL-->Performing Transformation in ADF--->loading the final data in azure SQL db -->connecting via AAS
The issue is we have another coworker who is getting the below error. So should we give him the access to sharepoint or ADL or ADF or sql db or AAS ...can someone help on this please
Hi @Anonymous,
The error page on the screenshot was gotten is when connecting to the data source in Power BI Desktop? From the screenshot , it seems that this user does not have access to the data source or the connected database does not exist . Which data source does he tried to connect to? Azure Analysis Service database? Whether he entered the correct database credentials ? In additional , is there any other colleague that can connect to this data source successfully ?If possible, can you explain what this coworker did and where he did these (Power BI desktop or Power BI Serive)? What does he need to do in the end?
If the report is ultimately created based on AAS, AAS related account information and certain permissions should be given to this coworker. Then he can use these to connect to AAS and create the report in Power BI Desktop.
Best Regards
Rena
