I've read other issues way in the past on this--and from reading it appears that tiles on a Dashboard should auto-update every 15 minutes with a direct query report.
Scenario:
I have a report that uses Direct Query for an on-site SQL server
It is pinned as a Live Page to a dashboard
I noticed today the dashboard was not updated. I went into the report that uses Direct Query and it also showed old data. I had to click the "Refresh" button on the report, then it loaded new data--and then the dashboard updated.
Questions:
1) I thought the dashboard updated every 15 minutes on a direct query regardless if that report has been opened?
2) Why did I need to click on the Refresh button after opening the report? It showed it running the query--but the data was still old.
Using Chrome.
Thanks,
Ryan

Hi @AgeOfEgos
Have you checked out the following article: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-automatic-page-refresh
Have you checked if the "Page refresh" is toggled On as per the article above?
Hi @AgeOfEgos ,
When you pin a live page ,there is a notification :
It means after the dataset is refreshed, we need to refresh the dashboard page which contains report live page to update data.
Any changes to the underlying data will not be immediately reflected in any existing visuals. It is still necessary to Refresh, whereupon the necessary queries will be resent for each visual, and the visual updated as necessary.
If you want to refresh page automatically, please install an automatic refresh plugin:https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/auto-refresh/ifooldnmmcmlbdennkpdnlnbgbmfalko?hl=en
