Couldn't load the model schema associated with this report

Hi all,

I am getting this strange error when loaidng up my Website that has powerbi embedded reports with .net C#. I have an Azure account with VMs, a powerbi embedded account as well as an office 365 E5 account to allow me to create powerbi graphs.

Everything has been working great for over a year, then all of a sudden today this is the error message that is being shown when loading the website where the PowerBi graph is embedded.

I have checked my 365 account, it is active, the powerbi embedded account is active and so is my azure VMs. I also have a working gateway on the database to synchronize data for refresh. I am able to refresh reports in Desktop version as well as online on apppowerbi.com and I am able to publish from desktop to app.powerbi.com.

The only issue is that when I load up the website (or the report on app.powerbi.com) I get this error. Rather desperate as nothing works.

Re: Couldn't load the model schema associated with this report

Hi @duggy ,

what is the kind of data source , SQL Server Analysis service or other? Are you using the Live Connection mode? Could you please check the credential of this datasource is valid in manage gateway? Are there any RLS rules applied to this dataset? What is the last time the report can be access?

Best regards,
