Hi @SteveKnibbs,

Any RLS setting on published report? If this is a case, you need to assign roles to users.

Row-level security (RLS) with Power BI

Hi Steve,

I would take the following steps to trouble shot.

1. Create a simple report in Power BI desktop to confirm if I can see visualization outside of the services.

2.Check the user and pw to the datsource associted to the reports.

3. If a gateway is involved check if the gateway is online

thanks,

Conarl_On_Bi

The visualisations can be seen within the application and user names and passwords are the same between both the desktop application and the cloud service. The gateway is connected and running.

Awesome glad I would help you. Provide your kudos..Lol. Let me know if you have any future issues.

The published reports and the corresponding dashboards still do not update though!

This issue with RLS re-appeared with latest release (06/14/18) on GOV cloud. Any help to fix this issue is welcome.

I had the same issue. I have updated my desktop to the current version and re-published the report and that was the fix for me. From previous comments this seems to be a row level security change (RLS) and my desktop version must have  been out of sync with the server.

I have noticed that there is indeed an update available so I have asked the support team to install this and I will then try the re-publish approach and let you know!

Thanks for the response
