Copying and Moving Datamarts Across Workspaces

Does anyone know of a means of copying a datamart and moving it between two existing workspaces? Would Powershell techniques for copying and moving dashboards and reports work for this?

Here is my issue: several clients use the same data sources and we offer them the same, or almost the same reports. I need a way to share my models and the measures I write with multiple report developers. Datamarts are a godsend for doing this, since using shared datasets ran into a lot of issues, and the new SQL functionality is big too. However, their usefullness would take a big hit if I need to copy and paste 150+ measures into each datamart, for each client. I definetly don't want clients' data mixed in the same datamart or workspace, so that is also not a solution. What would be ideal, is to copy the datamart to a new workspace, and then just switch out the data sources (I have flows doing ETL to make all the tables the same), so it's going to be the same model and measures, just different flows providing the data.

If this isn't possible now, I highly suggest it be added as a feature so work can be reused.

Hi @Anonymous

My only thoughts I can think of is to create a dataflow and then use the dataflow in each datamart.

Currently as far as i know it is not possible to move or copy them.
