Users who have download a content pack can no longer pin any of the tiles from those reports into their own dashboards. When they hover over a tile, it says "Read-only content can't be pinned yet". This seems to be a new issue, because last week, users were able to pin from these content packs, but starting 2/1/2016, that functionality seems disabled.
How can we get the inning functionality back for those content pack reports? It was becoming a very useful tool for our report cutomers.
Content packs must be personalized, which takes essentially a local snapshot of the contents at time of publishing and copies it to the user's workspace. Once a content pack has been personalized, you can then pin its visuals.
Doesn't this then create a second set of the data in the cloud, hence using up more storage capacity?
Also, if they do this, how do we make changes to the underlying reports if needed? Do we now have to maintain two sets of data?
Lastly, what about with Apps? Does the same think apply?
I have this issue with the Azure Active Directory Data Logs app. Cannot pin report content to new dashboards and hence cannot create alerts.
Furthermore, while I can create own report these cannot be published anywhere except my own workspace. Overall the AADDL app provides important information but it leaves you quite limited in terms of what you can do with it in Power BI.
