Hello,
My team wants to use a contact group email to sign up for a Power BI account for administrative purposes, however, there were no emails received to verify the email address hence we could not proceed with the registration.
FYI, a contact group, also known as a distribution list, is a grouping of e-mail addresses collected under one name.
A message sent to a contact group goes to all recipients listed in the group.
Say powerbi.admin@xyzcompany.com is a contact group containing several receipients:-
john@xyzcompany.com
fred@xyzcompany.com
kelly@xyzcompany.com
Hence, every emails that were sent to powerbi.admin@xyzcompany.com will be automatically directed to john@xyzcompany.com, fred@xyzcompany.com & kelly@xyzcompany.com
So, my question is, can a contact group email be registered for a Power BI account?
Please advise.
Thanks in advance!
Jo

Hi Jo,
You can not do that as It is just created on your outlook as a contact group and not an actual email address registered on your domain.
