Hi,
I was publishing a report that is using a connection to MySQL as well as a dynamic source (which I know does not work with PBI Service, but i used relative path and that worked in PBI Desktop too, so it should be okay).
When I try to update the dataset, i got the error message:
"Failed to update data source credentials: MySQL:
Authenication to host "xyz.com" for user "abc@mysqlabc" using method "mysql_native_password" failed with message: SSL connection is required. Please specify SSL options and retry."
MySQL does have SSL-encription enabled.
When I configure the connection in PBI Service, i use the same credentials as i do in PBI Desktop. I can only use "authentification method" basic and Windowswithoutimpersination.
Privacy Setting is set to Organizational.
Any hint for me? I do not see anything configured wrongly.

Hi @NovaBI
I would suggest making sure you are using the ODBC connection.

Hi @NovaBI
You would have to change it in the advanced editor
You could do this using Tabular Editor which could be quicker.
I experience same issue on PowerBI service. It is not even on the refresh, error appears when I try to edit credentials for the source. I also tried to configure the ODBC connection though get an error : SSL connection error : unable to get private key...
Not sure how to proceed with this.

Hi @GilbertQ ,
thanks for the hint, that worked.
Last question, is there a way to change the source for all tables in one go?
Otherwise I have to do it via advanced editor one by one, but I don't see anything reasonable in Data Source Settings.
