Connecting to Sharepoint/Worksites Folder

I have a strange issue that may be related to how my company have setup sharepoint.

Our sharepoint urls are https://worksites.companyname.com/sites/sharepoint_page/

Whereas if I view our MS Teams locations in sharepoint it's https://companyname.sharepoint.com/sites/team_page

I can successfully connect to the folders using the teams link format, but when using the Worksites version I get the following error.

Details: "We found extra characters at the end of JSON input.

I know I have raised this in Service category but I have also test this in Desktop too with the same outcome.

Hi. I'm not sure I understand the issue. I'll leave this example of connecting Power Bi Desktop to sharepoint folder in case it helps you 🙂

I suppose a simple starting question would be is there any difference between worksites and sharepoint?

They both look and act like SharePoint but the worksites URL is not being accepted by Power BI
