Connecting Report Builder to older Oracle DB

Hi all,

I want to try out creating Paginated Reports, but the database we used is older versions of Oracle database (version 11). There isn't much a documentation for how to configure to connect to Oracle DB so I'll try ask here.

I already have Oracle client installed and Power BI Desktop (Nov 2020, and May 2022 Report Server) can connect to it no problem. Although I didn't use TNS name to connect, I used the IP address directly. I'm not sure what more there is to do for Report Builder to work. Any help would be appreciated

Thank you all!

In general it should work if you have the correct 32 bit or 64 bit drivers. This article might help you. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/reporting-services/report-data/oracle-connection-type-ssrs?view...

Yeah, I initially thought it might interfere with existing drivers but I have tried it and it works. Thanks very much! I'll be marking it as solution
