What are the differences to consider when connecting to Snowflake running on AWS versus Azure? Because of the new enhanced connector, if I'm correct: now you DON'T need a gateway to connect from the Power BI Service to AWS, and that the gateway would need to be installed on a VM in AWS that would need to be able to connect outwards to the Power BI Service.
What could then be a disadvantage when choosing for AWS instead of Azure, in terms of performance and costs?
Thank you!

Hi @mmossel ,
Based on your description, please refer to the following links to learn the differences between AWS and Azure.

For datasets that include separate queries one that connects to an on-premises data source and the other to a cloud data source, the gateway doesn't execute the query for the cloud data source. If datasets have cloud and on-premises data sources merged or appended in a single query, the web data sources also need to be added into the gateway.
