Cleaning Workspaces in Power Bi Service

Hi

In Power BI Service one team uploaded many reports and few are duplicate. Now we need to clean up.

The known approach is to individually check each dataset and then clean Workspaces.

Is there any batch activity using metadata or any other process to save time.

Suggestion will be appreciated!

Regards

Vijay Perepa

Hi there

I would rather check on them individually to ensure that you do not delete a valid report?

If it is in multiple app workspaces then you could delete them. I still would do it manually, to ensure the right app workspaces are deleted.

You could this API to delete the datasets which would also delete the report (But NOT the dashboard)

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/power-bi/datasets/deletedatasetingroup

And you could use PowerShell to loop through the datasets to delete them if need be.
