Checking access to workspaces / reports

Hi all,

Is there a way to export the information, which users / groups have access to which app workspaces or single reports across the whole tenant in a structured format?

Maybe as an admin feature or, if not possible otherwise, via REST API?

Re: Checking access to workspaces / reports

Hi,

After my research, i found a Power BI API to reach your requirement, see this:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/power-bi/groups/getgroupusers

Hope this helps.

Best Regards,

Re: Checking access to workspaces / reports

I have not but if you find it, please let me know. Last time I did this I had to do it manually, which is gruelling and painful.

Re: Checking access to workspaces / reports

Hi,

I think there is no such function now, and you can create an idea here:

Re: Checking access to workspaces / reports

Hi,
This is really bad news and somehow hard to believe.

I mean, you can view the access settings directly in PowerBI Service as an app workspace member, so obviously they must be saved somewhere?

Re: Checking access to workspaces / reports

Looks good so far. In order to test it, I will need someone with REST API skills, but I will give a feedback, if we manage to get this solution running. Thank you very much for your research!
