Hi,
I'm trying to change datetimes to local timezone accross both PowerBI pro and desktop.
Our database stores datetime in utc. In PBI desktop, I have changed it to our local timezone,Utc + 8 using DateTimeZone.SwitchZone in PowerQuery.
The resulting DAX formulas work in desktop, but when I publish the report to Power BI Pro, it reads UTC time instead.
Reading other threads in this forum, I realized that there's no way for PBI Pro/Service's time intelligence DAX functions such as DATESMTD() to read in local timezone. Is there any way around this? It'll be nice to get an accurate report.
Thanks!
