Change in Button formatting - Desktop v Service

Hi,

I've experienced a recent change in how buttons are formatted in Desktop v Service.

a) Is anyone else having this behaviour?

b) Is this a permanent change? My custom theme specifies button formatting, and now all my published reports are not showing as designed. Do I need to go through and manually change every report?!

Hi, @jbj85

This is caused by the incompatibility of the version, because your desktop version is not the latest, and the service version is already compatible with the latest version of the desktop, so there is a problem.

After my test, using the September version of power bi desktop version to publish to the service works normally.

Upgrade your power bi desktop version to the latest version and republish the report.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. I understand that the September release of desktop now aligns with the service. However your reply that my version was not the latest, came on the same day of the update release so at time of posting was not the case. Also, my issue is that any button that was formatted using Round edges in Outline will lose this formatting in all published reports. Which is very much non desirable.

But thanks for the response, I will look to update all reports!
