Hi,
Power BI makes standaard URL links of the reports & dashboards to share.
Example:
https://app.powerbi.com/groups/ea1d8eb3-1f66-4cd0-bd67-3af048ed0b3f/reports/98bc19ac-9e78-49bb-9b4c-21ab138b08d0/ReportSectionc3ceb7fbc032f8fa268c
* This part is the ID of the workspace: groups/ea1d8eb3-1f66-4cd0-bd67-3af048ed0b3f
* This part is the ID of the report: reports/98bc19ac-9e78-49bb-9b4c-21ab138b08d0
* This part is the ID of the report-tab: ReportSectionc3ceb7fbc032f8fa268c
Can we change the ID to the full names? This would make it understandable for our business.
This is what I like to see:
https://app.powerbi.com/groups/WORKSPACENAME/reports/REPORTNAME/REPORTTABNAME
Is this possible?
Kind regards,
Davina
Hello,
This can be useful when we have links between several dashboards/reports, which are potentially in different Workspaces.
In fact, if we have several environments (DEV / UAT / PROD), we need to modify the hard IDs to make sure we are pointing to the right report in the right environment.
Thanks in advance for your feedback,
Vivien
Hi @Anonymous ,
If you want to put report url on some pages, try to use Hyperlink.
If do this in Power BI Reports, you can refer to this document: Add hyperlinks (URLs) to a table or matrix.

Hi @Anonymous ,
It is unrealistic.
In current report URL, the Report ID, Workspace ID and Report-tab ID are unique and will not be the same as those of other people.
If the IDs are changed to custom names, the URL will not uniquely point to your report. Because other people's report, workspace, report-tab names may be the same as yours.

Icey

What about customizing just the Report-tab ID ?
