Cannot find navigation builder when publishing an app

hi

there was an update in the app creation this week and i cannot find anymore the navigation builder which allowed various options view options.

I used to be able to see the follow options

Now after the recent update i only have the following options

is there a way to be able to access the navigation builder again?

Thanks

It appears once you choose to "upgrade" your app to the new UI, you lose the option to toggle the navigation builder off and on. 😞 I really hope there is a way around it too, as my organization prefers to hide the list of reports and see report pages along the bottom like tabs in Excel.

Hi @ANTOS ,

You can put your ideas here:

Ideas (powerbi.com)

It is a place for customers provide feedback about Microsoft Office products . What’s more, if a feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.

Hi @ANTOS ,

The navigation pane has been moved to "content", there you can see it.

I don't think it can been deleted, if you deledted it, your content will also disappear.

If you didn't want to show the navigation pane, you can click this icon to shrink it up.

@v-mengzhu-msft this is not really what i am looking for.
the navigation builder had additional options from what is available in the "content" tab.
also minimizing the navigation pane with the relevant icon "<<"... is not the solution. i need the navigation pane to not be available

I am facing the same issue as my app has a lot of reports so the navigation pane is not so helpful. Would really like to go back with the navigation builder turned off.

Hi @ANTOS ,

I've not used the new app feature much however on mine all the facilities of the navigation builder appear to be present on the Content section.

What are you not able to do?

Hi Ben,
Agreed most of the functionalities are there but not all. So with the Navigation builder, we could define the section one sheet of a report belonged to earlier and create a two-level navigation. Now I have to pin dashboards and take those up in a section to get the same thing done. But with this the whole report also comes up and I can't hide it because if I do then my dashboards also get hidden. I am not sure why would PBI downgrade.

@bcdobbs I want to remove the navigation pane on the left of the app because i don't find it really appealing. In my opinion it is actually confusing.

I could do that through the "navigation" builder tab by selecting the relevant option.
