Cannot edit my own Dataflow

Hi,

Two days ago on May 26, 2020 I was able to create and edit my own Dataflows on Chrome.

Next day, when I click on Edit, it tells me:

Can't edit dataflow
This dataflow can only be managed by its owner.

I am the owner but it doesn't let me edit it, when I go to Firefox it still working.

Has anyone had this issue?

What can I do?

Thank you,

Carlos

Just experienced that same error myself. I was lucky - a refresh of the page let me get past it.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Please try to clear the cache of Chrome and check if you still can't edit the dataflow owned by you. If yes, you can create a support ticket when you have a pro license.

It's little funny but i have observed that if you create a dataflow with old look and trying to edit it in new look of Power BI Service you might face issue. Hence in case you find any issue accessing your own dataflow try to toggle between old and new look.

It worked!

I would've thought that logging off and closing the browser would've done the same thing as clearing the cache.

Thanks a lot

You're right, at first I logged off, closed my browser, restarted my computer and nothing.

I just did what you said, I refreshed the page using Ctrl + F5 and it worked.

Good ol' refresh!

Thanks

@cmeu - Hmm, TSIS perhaps? Temporary Service Insanity Syndrome?

@Anonymous - I have not. You could check the Issues forum here:

https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/idb-p/Issues

And if it is not there, then you could post it.

If you have Pro account you could try to open a support ticket. If you have a Pro account it is free. Go to https://support.powerbi.com. Scroll down and click "CREATE SUPPORT TICKET".
