Hello,
My organisational policy made me change my Windows password and since then I am getting the following error when trying to refresh a dataset within Power BI service:
"Scheduled refresh is disabled because at least one data source is missing credentials. To start the refresh again, go to this dataset's settings page and enter credentials for all data sources. Then reactivate scheduled refresh."
My report connects to Sharepoint Lists and Web (XML Tables). I can open and refresh via Power BI desktop (using new credentials) but can't refresh when I publish the report.
I have re-entered all credentials within Power BI Desktop (Data Source Settings) and tried using Windows account and Organisational account but no luck.
I have deleted the dataset (and report) from the service and re-published but that didn't work either.
There are no parameters and there are no gateways configured.
Hi @Toll ,
Do you need a way to omit steps?
You need to start building the pbix file again, there is currently no good way to omit steps, and calling the previous data may cause the previous problem to persist.

Hi @Toll ,
According to your description, datasets on Power BI Service fail to refresh after changing the Windows password, and republishing doesn't resolve the issue.
It is possible that the PBIX file contains previous credential information. I recommend creating a new Power BI Desktop project, re-fetching the data, and then creating the report.
Then publish to Power BI Service and see if the problem is resolved.

Hi @v-jialluo-msft ,
Thank you for the suggestion.
Is there a way to re-create the PBIX without starting from the beginning?
I was trying to not start over again if possible
Have you tried doing the following in Power BI Service?
go to this dataset's settings page and enter credentials for all data sources
Yes, it only gives me option for "Anonymous" and "OAuth2" and then I have to select the privacy settings.
I have tried all possibly combinations of those settings and nothing works.
EDIT: apologies, I should've mentioned in the first post that I had tried that, too.
