I configured the Enterprise gateway on my SQL2014 server. When i check the manage gateways I can see the database I want to use: (It also says "connected successful")
But when I go to my workspace and click "Add data" > From database > SSAS > Connect > Selecting the database I get this error:
It says:
What am I doing wrong?
I reconfigured the enterprise gateway on the server. New name, new connection as seen below:
Still nothing appearing in the connect to SSAS data source list…
The Connections from the Enterprise Gateway do not show up on the SSAS Data source list on the PBI site .Currently only the connections from the analysis service connector would show on the site.
However It should start showing up in a weeks time once the analysis service connector is discontinued. If you create a report on PBI desktop and publish it on the PBI site . It would use the connections from the enterprise gateway .
