Can SQL Server query a Power BI shared data set/model?

Is there a way to query data inside a data model or data set that is in the Power BI service?

Can I connect to it from other programs besides Power BI?  SQL Server linked server, SSIS package, other connections?

Thanks!

Hi @OneWithQuestion ,

>>Is there a way to query data inside a data model or data set that is in the Power BI service?

I am not sure what desired result would you want, could you please clarify more about your demand?

Best Regards,

Amy

Once Power BI has created a data set and populated it in the Power BI service (perhaps a shared dataset for example) is there anyway to query that data from SQL Server?

Basically, can anything (other than another Power BI report) access the data inside a data model in the Power BI service?

Once Power BI populates a data model and does whatever calculations or ETL is part of the model, I want to be able to access that from other systems since I want the data model to be the "authoritative" source of that information and not have to re-invent that entire process somewhere else.
