Can I share a PowerBI Dashboard with a Non-Pro PowerBI user.

I am a Pro User and would like to share my dashboard with a friend who does not use Power BI Pro. Is this possible?

@brown545 Not unless he is covered by a license by you. Either you pay for Pro, or he does. Licensing is all wrapped around sharing content, if you want to share private data reports both parties need a license. (You buy -> B2B)

Hi @brown545,

I agree with what @Seth_C_Bauer replied.

Actually, there are three scenarios about sharing content with licenses.

1. If you only want to share a report without sensitive data, you could try publish to web which does not require a pro license for the consumer.

2. For normal, if you want to share  a private report to your friend,  you and your friend both need the Pro license.

3. If you have purchase Premium and add your content to Premium, then when you share the content, the receiver could be free user.

For further, you could have a look at the articles below to know more about Free, Pro and Premium licenses.
