Calculation Group Doesn't Work in Direct Query Mode

I have a composite model that is connected to (3) remote models (shared datasets).  One of the remote models has a Calculation Group that changes the format of certain rows in a matrix:

This formatting is applied by dragging the Decimal Format Calculation Group into the Filter Pane (Filters On This Page) and then choosing one of the Calculation Items (No Decimal or One Decimal):

This doesn't work in Direct Query mode based on my testing:

But did work when I created a new report and connected just to that one model via Live Connection.

Any ideas why the Calculation Group being used in the filter pane wouldn't work in a Direct Query / composite model?

Hi

Can somebody confirm that Calculation Groups does not work with Direct Query mode?
I am using Visual Studio for development.

Yeah.  Thanks @lbendlin.  I thought the same thing, but I don't see that listed in the limitations in the Microsoft documentation:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/analysis-services/tabular-models/calculation-groups?view=asallprodu...

When Composite Model was in preview Calculation Groups were explicitly listed as not supported. Not sure if that limitation has been lifted in GA.
