Hi community.
I have two columns in my excel worksheet with two types of dates.
#1 starting date of the work
#2 End date of the work.
I need to calculate how many days has passed since the work started but the end date must be blank (this means that the work has not finished yet)
any ideas?
Thanks!

Hi There,
you can use following formula to calculate number of days passed since work Started.
i am assuming start date is in column B, and End Date is in Column C
enter Number of days in Column D as follow
=If(C2="", Today()-B2,C2-B2)
convert column format to General
Explanation
C2="" This part of formula will check if end date is blank, if it is blank if condition will return true and below condition will run
Today()- B2 : Today() will return todays date and Start date will be substracted from Todays date.
if End date is present then C2-B2 will return days passed between Start and End Date.
if you dont wish to calculate days for work finished records, you can use below formula
=If(C2="", Today()-B2,"")
let me know if it works!
Thank You
