Building Dashboards from Shared Reports

Hello!

I'm trying to get into Power BI and am wondering if it is possible to share a report, and then let users who you shared the report with build their own (private) dashboards based on it.

The reason is that I would like to create a sales performance report/app and share it with our sales team, and I imagine that every member of the team would be happy if they could by themselves build their own personal overview as their dashboard (for example with their personal results and focus points), rather than me creating one or more standard dashboards for the entire team.

I am still fairly new to the service, so perhaps I am misunderstanding the intended way to work with dashboards and reports - if so, please let me know!

Thanks!

Hi @Anonymous,

I'd like to suggest you share these report as content pack or app, they allow recipient to do some customize on contents.

Reference link:

Organizational content packs: Copy, refresh, and get access

Create and publish apps with dashboards and reports in Power BI

In addition, you can also try to share dashboards with dynamic RLS, it will filter contents by username.

RLS with UserName()
