Hi All,
Is there any option to refresh the data and get latest data from datasource(Azure SQL) to Power BI(Embedded) without using On premise DataGateway directly through cloud as we have used import method to load the data.
Please let me know if so.
Thanks

Hi @Anonymous ,
How about the result after you follow the suggestions mentioned in my original post?Could you please provide more details about it If it doesn't meet your requirement?
Best regards,
Hi @Anonymous ,
Based on my research, if the dataset only contain cloud-base database, such as Azure SQL Database or Azure Cosmos DB or any other that can be found in this document with Gateway (required)=No, then the dataset should be able to refresh from service without using a gateway.
If you have any other questions, please kindly ask here and we will try to resolve it.
Best regards,
@Anonymous
Please check the same with "Direct Query".
Refer the link https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/refresh-data#configure-scheduled-refresh
As per the requirement, if it is "Import' and the workspace is "Premium" then try to check it in Schedule refresh for every 30minutes. (48 time slots)
Note:- In Shared Capacity, upto 8 time slots per day to refresh the dataset.
