Azure Tabular Source as Import for PowerBI Service

Has anyone uploaded a Tabular model to SSAS Azure and created a PowerBIDotNet dashboard from it that was import based? I watched a Guy in the Cube video that mentioned both were allowed, but when I went to test it out, it only allowed a live query mode dashboard to be uploaded to PowreBIDotNet that accessed the model. It's a new feature, so I wouldn't expect many people to have tested it.

Part of the problem is that I'm working with a client that has dashboards based on multiple data sources SSAS Tabular and SQL Server Database. Import based allows for mashing together of multiple data sourcses in a PowerBI dashboard, where as I don't believe Live Query will. If Azure SSAS only allows Direct Query dashboards, then this could complicate the solution.
